need answer quick
im trying to start my truck, sinse i moved the shifter (3 in the floor, wouldnt let me hook up the speedo cable, so i moved the bracket back) got a speedo now
but what i need to know, is it ok to start the truck with the battery charger hooked to it? i have over the normal amount of voltage (two regulators) so im afraid ill blow up the charger or my battery

Some battery chargers have a start position you can shift it to so you don't burn out the charger. It provides a boost of current for starting the engine by providing enough juice to the starter motor. Usually the charger has an amplifier in it that if it gets too hot it simply clicks off.
Why do you need to start it with the charger connected?

i was wanting to start it with the charger hooked up, because its one of those little chargers that only have a 2 and 6 amp position (lil cheap ones) and it takes toooo long for it to charghe the battery so i was goign to let the altenator do it
