Re: What is this bracket for?

I think it is an a/c bracket for the right side of the engine. Can't remember if it bolts to the intake or the exhaust. Pretty sure it bolts to the center 2 bolts of the exhaust manifold.

Re: What is this bracket for?

Its bolted to the intake manifold on the passenger side for the A/C compressor. Theirs another bracket that bolts from that bracket to the A/C Compressor.

Re: What is this bracket for?

I mounted up the A/C compressor last night, without that bracket. I have headers, and I purchased a bracket that mounts from the 2nd and 3rd header bolt, to the rear and bottom of the compressor. It seems to work ok.

Re: What is this bracket for?

78Bronco, I see what they are talking about now. I am missing the horizontal bracket. Thanks!! I am curious as if the compressor will stay sturdy enough without it. I might just need the horizontal bracket.

Re: What is this bracket for?

It'll work fine without the bracket. I left mine off when I went to the TPI, cause there's no way to mount it, and haven't had any problems. Jeff.

Re: What is this bracket for?

The upper BRACKET that 78Bronco posted is some what rare, they are not
easily found, but like others have said, it's NOT needed, just extra support.
