Another how ????

How do you get these seals out? Do I have to hammer it all the way down? If so how do you go get it throught that lip (green arrow) at the end of the hub?

I am not sure what the bearing race is. This is the first time I am messing up with bearing and axles therefore my terminology could be way off . The lip or race is where the outer bearing seats on. Can it come off too? it seems to be one piece with the hub.

The race has to be changed with the bearing. When you buy the new one you will see a new race, they wear together. If you look at the back side opposite of the surface the bearing contacts you will probably see notches in the surface the race touches. Use a pin punch to drive the race out of the drum or hub. Make surethat when you put the new one in it is solid against this same surface. Careful that you don't hit the surface the bearing rides on because it will shorten the lifespan of the new part. Use a block of wood or something that will contact as much of the race as possible when putting it in. Always drive the old out from the back side. AutoZone or Kragan may have a tool to rent that can be used to install the new races safely.

And always make sure you drive your races and seals in straight, try not to start them crooked or they can get egg shaped.
