Check this out.....

Painted up my GMC front bumper black the other day. After an hour of wire-wheeling, 10minutes of sanding, 2 coats of primer and a coat of gloss black (all Rustoleum rattle can ), I think my truck looks a lot better. I even topped it off with new stainless bolts to hold it on. Just thought I'd share.

Re: Check this out.....

This is the verry first time I have seen a black bumper on one of these trucks and thought it looked good.
I also just went the other route with mine, I just recieved a non bent bumper (that's a first for any of my trucks) and shot it white, installed it, and it made the grill look like poo - poo, so i took it off ans spent about 3 hrs on it with a d.a. sander. Now from 5 feet it looks great... up close, it looks like poo - poo still.

Re: Check this out.....

I'm thinking maybe paint the side mirrors black, but not sure if I want to waste the paint. I hate those style mirrors, thinking some 73-87 style ones. Maybe when it gets a new paint job, I'll put on some new mirrors.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I think it looks good for 14 year-old kid, rattle can painting. I think it cost me about 7 or 8 dollars.
