Re: Swap meet in springfield MO

I saw it! That truck would probably have been a good one to buy. There were a couple of good projects there too! The car corral was packed with em'. I took the day off, drove down by myself, and only found a steering wheel for my 72. If you figure my lost wages, the 45 dollars in gas, and the 30 bucks for the wheel, I must have the most expensive "silverado" steering wheel in the midwest............

Re: Swap meet in springfield MO

OK guys , how's this idea ???? Next year I'll have 2-4 spaces at Springfield. We'll make plans to have a small cookout at my swap meet spaces on Friday night. Any board members who want to stop by can do so at an assigned time and we'll eat, drink and tell lies. Sound like a deal ? I'll get the space numbers in a new thread next year when my spaces are assigned. Dean

musclecarfreak (or anyone) do you know the # that was on that black truck?

RSRXION---that would be sweet if you could pull that off, maybe even get the word of the forum out to some more people...

yea, i saw it, but if you look at it real close, it was about to be a rust bomb. The rockers, and the corners had already been replaced and they were already rusting through again. The bed sucked, floor was going out in it, underneath the frame had some spots where it was rusting pretty bad, and the bed supports were halfway gone...I guess it had a halfway decent motor and what not in it, but im just not looking for a metal surgery project truck...

Oh man, that sucks! I just now read this post, never heard anything about it and missed it. Had some things I would like to try and sell also. Hopefully next year and the get together sounds good to me.
