The best way to convert a Non A/C wiring harness to an A/C wiring harness

I am in the process of adding factory A/C to my Blazer. The non-A/C wiring harness is new. I have an A/C harness, but it is from 1972, so it is not in as good a shape as the harness that is currently in the Blazer. Can anyone give me tips on how to convert my harness to work with the factory A/C setup?

You need to buy a new AC wire harness. It is "stand alone" and not part of your underdash main harness. Then you can still use your new one too.

I've got an A/C harness too. Could I not use that one with my new one. If so, how would I put the 2 together?

The A/C Harness does not simply unplug from the regular harness. It includes ignition switch, wiper switch, cig lighter, etc. My question is what is the difference between a normal harness and an A/C harness, and why can you not convert a regular harness to an A/C harness.

the A/C harness is a seperate harness from your regular harness it has nothing to do with lights ignition switch wipers dash steering column // its a harness for the air conditioning unit THAT's IT NOTHING ELSR PERION // a stand alone harness it has nothing to do with the liscence plate light either

Where does it separate? The harness I took out of a factory A/C truck contains wires to the lights, ignition switch wipers dash steering column etc.?

There is one red wire that goes to the front of the fuse panel, and then the gray wire for the lights in the heater ac panel, but other then that, it is a seperate harness from the main harness.....
