Wheel and Paint Questions
I am planning to take my 71 C-10 up to the body guy's shop tonight (finally), it seems like these have been the longest 3 months of my life. My first question is what size wheels are stock on a 71? I want to order some American Racing wheels but wasn't sure about the size. Also how much should a quality paint job including the frame and under the hood run me? The truck is in pretty good shape rust in the usual places rockers, cabs, a little in the bed, and some in the floor board. I can't wait to see some progress Thanks and God bless.

Re: Wheel and Paint Questions
Depends what look you're going for. 15x8 would be standard for a 1/2 ton trucks. I "think" that the 3/4 ton and 4x4 could or did come with 16 1/2" wheels? Personally, I don't like the bling bling look. Anything over 17" is too big for me. I am running 15" ralleys on mine. Take a look.....

Re: Wheel and Paint Questions
17 x 10's out back and 17 x 8's up front. IMO. As for a good quality paint job. and the frame also. You should expect a pretty big bill. Now this is for a quality paint and body work. Around 4500. more or less depending on the guy doing it. I wouldn't touch for less than 4500.
