Duel Electric fan question????
What car should I look for to get the fans and will fit my four core????? Gonna go to the junk yard this weekend. I wanna try this before I go to Summit and put out over $400 for one of theirs. I want something that will suck lots of air.

Re: Duel Electric fan question????
Late model Ford Taurus and/or Merc Sable dual fans. They fill up the radiator from side to side and are 2 speed motors. I've read good reviews on them for years on various hot rod sites.
I've come up with a shroud in CAD that I will build out of sheet metal to make them work the best. It's always optimal to use a shroud so you are pulling air through the entire radiator core.

Re: Duel Electric fan question????
Just called the yard. Mike says he has no Impala's of any kind, so what else should I look for. Newer Chevy Trucks?

Re: Duel Electric fan question????
Mudder. I have read a lot on the subject of electric fans and I've read that a mustang and lincoln mark8 fan is large and reliable. Also see the link I've included here from a jag site. Some real good reading there and notes some GM cars with electric fans that could be used.

Re: Duel Electric fan question????
This is what I picked up:http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=50085
But I haven't installed them yet(I haven't put my TPI in yet) I'm just using a 9C1 caprice fan that came with my serp setup for the time being.

Re: Duel Electric fan question????
Mudder I got my pair from a 3.8L Windstar Van. They are supposed to pull the air real well. Since I haven't run mine yet, I can't verify if there is any problems with them.
