Rear main seal leak
Replacing rear main seal??? What all is involved. I have developed a very minor leak around this seal.

A very minor leak would just have to leak for awhile on my truck.hehe
If you can get the pan off while in the truck you can do it that way. On my Camaro I pulled the engine. Did it in a day. If you pull the engine and are doing it on a stand make sure the engine is right side up when you pull the pan and when you scrape the old gaskets off. Its a pain working upside down but that way trash wont fall in the motor.

Just be sure the rear main is at fault, could be other items such as oil sending unit/fitting, intake gasket and valve cover gaskets. I don't know if your standard or automatic but if a rear main is leaking you will see wet traces of oil spinning off the front of the flywheel/flex plate when you drop the dirt covers down. If the front of the flwheel is dry, look somewhere else for your leak.
