Quick exhaust question
I have called serval muffler shops and they have no idea what I'm talking about, yet it's in the manual as being a factory set up.
I'm referring to the small flange extension that goes between the exhasust pipe and the donut. So you have the Ramhorn, then the donut, then the extension flange, the exhaust pipe. The PS was okay, but the DS was bent to all hell getting the old donut off off it (i think it was installed incorrectly). Anybody know what auto store carries these?

The only thing that comes to mind, is a short sleeve that fits inside the doughnut to keep from burning it out. If thats the case, we used a short lenght of 1 7/8" tubing , expanded (carefully) to the ID of the doughnut, then pressed into the 2 " tube. Hope that helps... L

Crazylonghorn - That's exactly it. How did you go about expanding the 1 7/8?
Orange-c10 - I looked through the LMC catalog (though I wouldn't think of ordering from them) - did you see something I missed? Only thing I saw that you could be refering to is a heat riser. Definitely not a heat riser.

Might try a Chevy place. We sold lots of them when I worked there years ago, and they might still stock them.

Most muffler shops should be able to build those pcs, the ones I have done were expanded & pressed on a pipe bender L

If you use the hard metal donuts you will not need the inner piece, but the soft ones will crust all to heck without the sleeve. I just use the hard metal gaskets and no leaks on three trucks and they are reusable too.
