Bagged and notched but with stock crossmember?

I was wondering if anyone has bagged there truck and notched the back end but left the original crossmember alone. I was thinking about leaving the stock crossmember alone and not Z'ing anything. Wouldn't that put the truck about 3-4" off the ground? I don't think that would look bad. I like these trucks lowered but more i think about it, the less i feel the need for the truck to be slammed on the ground where the rockers meet pavement. I know i can Z the frame or notch the crossmember but before i did anything i wanted to see what these truck would look like not quite on the ground. Pictures would be great. Thanks everyone!!!

Do you think that is as low as you can go in the front without changing out the crossmember or raising it? Thanks for the pics!!!!

I'm 99% certain that all of the above (not sure about that last one!) are using stock xmember - but don't ask me questions about them because I can't tell you much more. All I know is that 9 out of 10 trucks I see that are bagged deflate to that height, almost on the money, nearly every time.

That ECE page that was just linked up, it will be helpful to some extent, but not with getting an idea of how low you can get bagged. That will show you how low you can get using spindles+springs+blocks.

Actually - the yellow stepside above is only using spindles+springs+blocks. I asked the member about his setup, and I am pretty sure it used 2" blocks in the rear, dropped spindles, lowered springs all the way around.

This truck is bagged with a stock crossmember. The bed and fenderliners are not cut. He did mod the rear fender wells to get a bit lower.

Hey N2 - can I ask a question about that - are you saying that the inner fenders were not cut to get it that low?

Also, what shocks is he using on that thing, and did he use the shock relocation kit on the rear? Just curious....

Shifty take a look at the build thread for more details. The front liners are bone stock. Notice that his front wheels are tucked quit a bit to get low without mods.
