How much is it worth???

I'm considering selling my Blazer, but am undecisive about what I should ask for my Blazer. It is a 1972 K/5, that has been restored to original condition. It is a 4x4 Medium Blue CST, with P/S, P/B, A/C, AM/FM. The engine and transmission are new. The differentials have been gone through. The A/C blows cold. The paint is new. I just replaced all the woodgrain trim and interior side panels + door panel inserts. The tires are new on the factory wheels with full wheel covers, but I also have a set of rally wheels with good tires on them. Please see the pictures for more details, and please ask me any questions that you have. thanks

all i can distinguish from your
pictures would lead me to believe approx

it appears well done
but a professional appraisal

closer in price
upon real-life inspection

I will do the underneath shots tomorrow. There are no flaws except for a little dirt. It has new, true flowmaster 40 series dual exhaust. The rocker boxes that are usually not intact on most have never been patched and have no rust or rot.

Re: How much is it worth???

I agree with kylejammers. It would be heavily dependant on paint quality. Was it a frame-off restoration?

Looks to be a sweet rig, it takes at least that to build one right.

Re: How much is it worth???

How long did the restoration take you?
Have you had a chance to enjoy it since it's been finished?

From the pics, (consider taking more on a nice 'sunny' day)
it looks all there and very complete, nice job.
More detailed pics will help with the sale too.

I'd shoot for 20K minimum via e-bay, it'll get the best exposure there.

I've done nothing but enjoy it. The restoration has taken a little over 3 years.

When I drive it, the most common thing that people comment on is the paint. They always ask me who did it, usually followed by they did a good job.

Re: How much is it worth???

I'd say more in the $25 range. That is a beauty. I've had offers (but no actual $ presented which is what I expected) of $20K on mine and it is unrestored. I'd guess I could sell mine for $15K, as it sits. A restored beauty like that has to be worth a lot more than mine.

Put it on ebay and set the reserve fairly high. If it doesn't sell, consider something like Barrett-Jackson. GREGSMX put his '75 up at the Barrett Jackson, and if I remember right, it went for $29K when I saw it on TV.

Here are the underneath shots that didn't turn out blurry. It should give some idea eventhough the pics aren't that great.

Re: How much is it worth???

Because they never bring what you want for them 95% of the time,
however yours is mostly OE or Stock looking, so you never know

Beautiful truck. JMHO, but if you sell that, you'll be sorry someday. Maybe not tomorrow, but at some point you will wish you had it back.

Re: How much is it worth???

I considered buying one on Ebay for 19k just as nice as yours, it was a frameoff restoration, a 1972 Blazer, very nice. I can't find the item number but it was a nice white Blazer everything perfect. Your Blazer is super nice and unfortunately you may never get what you put into it. My guess is you will get 17k-20k for it. Maybe its a mental number thing for buyers, but I don't believe you will get past 20k for it. JMHO.

Thanks for being realistic. I know just the Blazer you are talking about. I have used it as a reference for many of the finishing points on mine. It was just as nice, but had only rally wheels (I have a set of those plus the original ones), and the top was supposed to be white, but the owner had painted it black (a nice upgrade IMHO). The steering wheel was also not original, but was a normal size. It was listed once and sold for 19,251. The person that bought it sold it not much later because he said it was too nice to drive, and sold it for about the same.

Re: How much is it worth???

Yes,yes, I was bidding on the white one, he sent me pics and I really considered buying it. The first owner and the second owner sent me info. The pics looked very nice, just like yours. The only concern I had with the white one was that the SPID label had been re-typed (from the ones you buy on Ebay) The pics were nice, but if I am going to pay 20k I would like to see the original SPID label. I believe re-typed SPID labels lower the value a little for the high priced Barret-Jackson type of blazers/trucks. Heck, if I was not building my new home I would offer you something (If you had decided to sell) I like the stock looking Blazers. Good luck, but please let me know if you decide to sell her. Take care, Richard.

Re: How much is it worth???

Keep it! If my 72s where that nice the only way they would be sold is when I was dead with my realitives fighting over them. If I were brokeand had a choice between the house and my trucks ( or your blazer) I would learn how to sleep in my truck( or your balzer). Well if you havent figured out I am obssesed with my trucks.
