Found a possible donor truck, but have some ?'s

I have came across an 84 model chevy 1/2 ton. I think i should be able to use the whole front crossmember. Let me know if I am wrong.

The question pertains to keeping my six lug wheels.

Are there any 6 lug rotors that will work with the spindles from the 84 that will allow me to use my new six lug wheels?

the whole thing will bolt in with maybe having to redrill a couple of holes on either side because the crossmembers ones won't match up. As far as 6 lug rotors, they are usually based on the later model trucks rotors anyway. One thing to watch is that , I am not sure when, but they had a normal and a heavy duty 1/2 brake system. One the rotor is 1 inch the other is 1 1/4 I think. My 87 I used to swap had the thicker rotors

I too have swapped in a newer crossmember and the rear hole on the side was half a hole off! I just opened up the hole on the frame and bolted it up!
When I bought the spindles they asked whether I had the 1" or 11/4" thick rotors. Just make sure you use the engine mount stands that came with your frame as the newer ones won't mount up right!
