Got the automatic in and...

new seatcover, new carpet(from Tim Christians) and the new B&M shifter. We didnt get to the clutch pedal yet...save that for next weekend. It's so much more quiet on the inside now and going from 3 speed to auto w/shift kit is a HUGE difference.

What shift-kit did you go with and why? I'm going with a 350 turbo It needs rebuilding. I don't know What shift-kit to go with. I want a good solid shift.

That carpet really looks nice. My 69 didn't have carpet originally and finally decided to add it when I had the truck apart - really glad I did, makes the truck look alot different and your right, it does quiet it down.

Hey alfeefish, thats a decent buy on the shift kit. Save a few buck on the S&H. I used that kit in my th350 (Stage 2) has a really nice firm shift without being to firm for everyday use. In my opinion it is the one to use.
