Power steering pump
If I remove the pump and the hoses from the Saginaw box, will there be any problems after reassembly?? Is air a problem in the system or just cycle it out by turning the wheel back and forth??????

Re: Power steering pump
Good question. I'd be interested in this too. I tried the cycle back and forth thing, but my steering at idle is really choppy.

Re: Power steering pump
If you plan on driving it or not duct tape over the opening to keep dirt out of it. Air wont be a problem its a continuous flow hydraulic system.

Re: Power steering pump
So if I got it right, I can disconnect, plug holes, re-assemble later and work the air out with wheels jacked up???

Re: Power steering pump
Yes, you dont have to jack it up the air will work it self out after a little bit of driving. You may get a little pump whine at first just recheck your fluid level after a bit.

Re: Power steering pump
I have disconneted mine several times and just reconected. Never had a problem. Worked the same as before I unhooked it.
