Post how do I fill moulding holes?

I have some good doors that I will be putting on my truck eventually but the only problem is is that they have the holes for the moulding on the top and the bottom and I am not putting moulding back on. My question is, what is the best way to fill these things, I am sure that I have to weld somehow but I have no clue where to start. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

a mig welder is my choice.

small holes can be easily welded.

bigger ones will require a plug...or talent.

don't try to weld it all at once...to prevent warping...

if done right, you won't need any filler. PLEASE don't just use filler... i can't stand poor body work, and bondo being used as a fix all..

Mig time! You are in the middle of the door,grind it clean& sneak in with the mig. In the middle of the body , i like to have a bucket of water & a rag. When you start welding,feather the trigger& walk the circle,& keep goin. Then drop that sopped rag on the weld,& it will pull the tin back where it belongs. I still do a little grindin afterwards.....69

The samll ones (0.1875 in. dia. and smaller) you can weld in a single pass (circular pattern ending in the center) with any good mig welder. I back them up with an old copper penny. The larger ones (0.50 in. dia.) I use a filler plug and weld the perimeter of the hole. I always have a water soaked rag close by to cool the weld and shrink it back flush. Try a couple and you will get it down in no time. Surface grind to finish.

69, Sure is...I've welded lots of copper coated ones to the back sides of my fenders. Some day they will all come ratting down in side the fenders...LMAO. I usually just go find some old foreign coins and use them. What good are Escudos and Pfennigs anyway?

I could show you why to not use just filler. The dope smokin old b@stard did it that way...now I have holes all over...some sposts still have filler, which makes it look even worse.
