Re: WTB Driveshaft for SWB w/TH400 and SBC
for a longshaft th400 or a shortshaft? i just sold a longshaft th400 for 250 bucks yesterday, anywho i have two driveshafts for my 69 swb i just gotta figure out which one works for the 350th shortshaft, have you thought about taking a longer one and having it cut down to the right size? there are several shops around here that do that type of stuff just a thought might be cheaper in the long run for ya

No clue on what th400 I have, it came out of a 84 p/u with a 305. It has the bolt on yoke, guess I'll convert it to the slip style and have a one piece ds made for it.

Re: WTB Driveshaft for SWB w/TH400 and SBC
Try www.car-part.com.
Shortshaft will be 28 3/8" long and longshaft will be 30 11/16" long. From front lip of bellhousing case to rear lip of tailshaft case ( not end of tailshaft). Oh, there's also one that has a 13" tailshaft that is 37 7/8" long. I've never seen one of those, so I don't know what they were put in.

Re: WTB Driveshaft for SWB w/TH400 and SBC
It that the only way to make it work is to switch to a slip style yoke? I have the same set up i think. I got a 400 from an 86 1 ton and it had a 2 piece and i have a swb truck. Is there a 72 2 piece that i could get that would work? Is that what you were looking for Krue? What would be involved in switching it to a slip yoke?

I think I got an answer Denny's drive shafts makes a yoke to convert to a slip style. 69.95. They got some good info on their site. I guess the drive shaft in no place to cheap out.
