Is 71' Cheyenne engine original to truck?
Hello, I'm new on this board and am asking for some help. I'm purchasing a 71' Super Cheyenne, and am asking for some help determing if the engine is original to the truck. The number on the block is V0504TBC and another number is 3973469 with GM stamped underneath it. From what I've read, TBC looks to be for a 70' or 79'. But I've seen other posts where 71' owners had the same ending sequence of letters. Could someone please help! I'm confused and would like to know before I buy . Thanks!

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! Take the number on the block behind the driver's side head (between head and bellhousing) and check it at www.mortec.com
