will '81 parts fit?

Have a chance to pick up an '81 dually (less motor). Just wondering what all I can use for my '69 dually. Thanks

I heard you can swap front crossmembers, and rears in easy, but I'll let you know when I try it.

Re: will '81 parts fit?

You can use the front & the rear end. You just might have to modify a few of the holes in your 69 frame.

Re: will '81 parts fit?

i think i would look into swaping the 69 body on the newer frame. i know there isues with cab mounts and frame curviture in the rear. but have no first hand experiance, but it may just take a few spacers and the 69 cab mounts

Re: will '81 parts fit?

it'd be way easier to do the suspention swap instead of the frame. The wheel base isn't the same on the later frame, so you'd still be relocating the rear axle, plus dealing with the curved frame... not worth it.
