what to do??

I have a 45 gal fuel cell/bed box combo that is full of surface rust and a little hint of diesel in it. I paid $200..... It still needs a sender installed and rust free'd.....On the other side i can sell it and spend $240+ on a new fuel cell with sender. what should do???

Thanks for the help,
