Coys Wheels

I was wondering if anyone has used Coys Wheels out of Utah? They seem to be be priced good, but I am unsure of the quality? $1500.00 for 4-18" with toyo tires mounted and balanced? They are TT2 style.

Re: Coys Wheels

I don't have them but I saw them on a truck at a car show and they look great (better than my TT2's)

Re: Coys Wheels

I have a set and love them. Very nice folks to work with and the quality is good. My only complaint is ship time. If its in stock, you will have them in a few days, if not, it could take weeks(4-5)

I also have a set of KMC SS if you like them that I will sell at real good price.

I have a buddy who puts them on all his muscle cars. His advice is to get the chrome ones or the cast (grey spokes) ones. He says the polished ones just won't come to a shine no matter how much MOTHERS or any other metal polish you try. He loves the chrome ones. though.

GOOD LUCK!

Re: Coys Wheels

I like the Coys.

Just recently there was a post of a primered 68 with em on and they looked pretty good and they are priced very reasonably (especially when you consider that a nice billet wheel is gonna run ya in the neighborhood of $500 a corner).

My only complaint is that they have very minimal offset options.

Re: Coys Wheels

I believe have the 20x8.5 for the front and 20x10 for the rear. The back spacing is 4.75 for the front and 5 for the rear. Tires are 245/40/20 for the front and 275/35/20 for the rear. I would take a picture of everything but the truck is in pieces in the process of frame off.

Yes, made in China...no thanks. I try to avoid China when possible.
Also...maybe just isolated cases, but Ive heard the chrome flakes off, poor castings & water gets behind the chrome. local guy with 61 Impala had a set of the chrome Coy c-5 wheels got rid of them cause the chrome was coming off.

Re: Coys Wheels

Yea thats a problem, my experience with chiwain is with Harbor freight and OMG is that stuuuff bad. I laugh when i look at the brass copper and lead hammers they sell from chiwain and think i got nothing to worry about here but i guess if you are all about cheap then you get what you deserve. Someday, when the chiwainese get tied of their wages , and we get tired of their cp, the pendulum will swing back the other way and so will the manufacturing jobs.

Re: Coys Wheels

I have them on mine......quality is great!! These are 18x8s in the front and 20x8's in the rear. I ordered mine about 8 months ago and did not have to wait. Yes they are made overseas, but what isn't? For the price and quaility they are an awesome deal.

Yep that is a good looking truck, & they are nice wheels, I dont have a problem with buying things made overseas in general....just made in China.
If I have the option to not buy something made in China, I take that option.
When I redid my truck this winter I really wanted those same wheels. I just couldnt get myself to buy em & Im glad I didnt. I bought Centerlines instead. John
But that really is a nice looking truck.
As far as quality goes...it seems like when you buy alot of things made in China. You might get a great item, but the next guy who buys the same thing, it might be crap, inconsistant quality. just a thought
