Looks like the new truck has an Avalanche front on it.

Looks like everyone prefers the old truck, right down to the blue heeler.

Thought that was an Australian sheep dog...is that a nickname for the breed? Trailer Queens need not apply here!

stllookn, that's technically an Australian Cattle Dog, and blue heeler and red heeler are the more-often used nicknames. Australian Shepherds are a different breed, they have some of the same colors but have long hair like a collie.
Great pic!

Just takes some getting used to. I had to wait till the 2002 caught my eye before I got one. But my 68 is still the favorite. Wootdog

Hmmm... Two "Custom Sport Truck" Series trucks pictured along with that new truck on the last photo. It looks like Chevrolet is cashing in on the popularity of our trucks.

I'm with the guys in the first pic. Gotta love old iron and new stuff together. I'm curious about the 4-wheel steering concept, something I'm gonna have to check out myself.

This option is only avalable in limited markets, We are not able to get it it Canada. You Americans are sooo lucky.
Turning radius is the same as a saturn coupe.

Could you guys imagine back in 66 (remember they come out the year before they are labeled) when the new body style came out. I wonder if those guys were saying the same things. Well my point is....it takes awhile to get used to the new bodies. I know when the 2nd gen s10s came out I was like...damn that's ugly....then 5 years later, I get one myself. lol.
well, my .02 jay

Dunno about the body style change in '67, but I know when the all-plastic Chevy grilles came out in '71 there was quite a bit of dissention. Of course the GMC still had metal until '73.

I like the front end, especially the hoodlines. I wish Dodge hadn't swiped the GMC crosshair grille, though...'cause I still think a proper GMC grille has acres of chrome, not black plastic. I like 'em...my friend (who wrecked his '69 and is helping me with the 700R4) is seriously debating getting an '02 or an '03, doing some simple mods to it, and driving it while he looks for another real project (and a higher paying job, LOL)

you can call the avalanche "fugly" all ya want, but when it gets "de-clad" in 2003 i'm gonna be standin in line with a grip of green for a smooth black one, 2wd, put some phat chrome on it and drop it a little for a nice street stance. the tahoe's gotta go soon

man they need to make a retro styled truck harkening back to the 67-72 years, that would definately sell!! Imagine a modern version of the 67 GMC front grill, with the 4 round headlights!! damn that would be sweet
