Hello from WInnebago Illinois
Hi everyone I'm a newbie so please be kind. I was just looking for parts for my 67 GMC LWB and I ran across this place. I have already gleaned so much info just from reading some of the posts. What a great thing to be involved with.

Re: Hello from WInnebago Illinois
Thanks for the welcome everyone. Cool thing about my truck is... I bought this truck (the first cool vehicle I had ever owened. Previous ride was a 1992 minivan) in 1999 while living in South Dakota. In 2000 we moved to Illinois for a new job. 2001 the shop I was working at closed down and I had to sell the truck. (needed $$$) Just a month and a half ago I was shopping for another 67 and sure enough there on ebay was my old truck, now over in Iowa. So Last month went and got it and drove it home. Now it sits back in my garage where it belongs.

Re: Hello from WInnebago Illinois
I have to say one of the best things about driving an older truck is the looks of admiration from drivers as they pass or are being passed. That look that says "I had a buddy who used to have one like that", or "thats just like my dad's old truck". It's amazing that just a look can say so much, and each look makes me more proud to be driving not just an old truck but a piece of AMERICAN automotive history.
