Dynomax Blackjack Headers who uses them?

Does anybody use blackjack headers? I've been looking around for headers and exhaust systems and ran across the Blackjack headers from Dynomax. I'm kind of a fan of Dynomax and I saw that there is an exhaust system that bolts right to the headers. How good of quality are they? Are they comparable to Hooker headers? Because Hooker has some nicely priced headers also with an exhaust system that bolts directly on. Do they last very long? Does the paint wear off fast on them? I'm looking at the basic headers. Does anybody got any useful info for these, like do they flow well, scavenge well, how much power gain, mounting problems, things like that.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Re: Dynomax Blackjack Headers who uses them?

Well, i have Hooker comps (#2452 painted) on my longhorn. Does the paint last......not too long, but the BBQ grill paint holds up decent! The tubes are heavier on the Hookers than a lot of headers (16 guage), & they are well built. Dont confuse these with the Super Comps, the supers are more hyperformance, but lighter weight tubes. L

Re: Dynomax Blackjack Headers who uses them?

I have a set of Dynomax ceramic headers. Easy to install and fit perfect. The ceramic helps keep the heat down in the engine compartment and they tell me that the ceramic helps the scavenging. They always look good and don't lose color or "blue". Anyway... that's my 2cents.

Anybody else have any input to this? Anyone actually have these on the pickups?

Re: Dynomax Blackjack Headers who uses them?

I have them on my 69 but only for temporary. I'm not particularly pleased with the fit. They will be replaced later with stock ramhorns.

Not to change the subject, but don't the old Ramhorns flow pretty good in stock form??

Re: Dynomax Blackjack Headers who uses them?

They'll flow plenty well enough for an everyday driver. The headers would be of more benefit for racing.
