Need some help with raising leaf springs...

I need some help please.... I have leaf springs but do not think they are factory. The brackets that hold the leaf springs are welding onto the frame. The leaf springs are under the axle. The rear end looks to be flipped because I cannot see the drain plug on the bottom and the truck is to low to see the top of the rear end. I will jack it up today and take some pictures. Is there a way to tell if I have a flip kit on it? The rear end and drive shaft line up at an angle, not straight. The truck sits really really low. I would be happy with a 2/4 drop. I know to put the leaf springs on top of the rear end plus blocks will raise it. But would the be my safe cause of my rear end and drive shaft being at an angle facing down? I will try to post some pics this weekend. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
