Wheres all the GMC info?

can someone please decode my axle ID. The stamp on the passenger side tube isW2362.It is on a 72 gmc.I have another 12 bolt the code is RHW802E.I would apreciate your help verry much.

What do you want to know about it? Are you unsure of the year or if it was original to your truck? If you want to know the gear ratio, take the cover off and copy down the numbers written on the ring gear. There will be a number like 41-11, that will be your ratio.

I have a 12 bolt in my truck right now with the code W2362.The other day I bought a complete rear end (except for drums) hopeing to put the limited slip carrier in my truck. I took the gentlemans word that it was a 1/2 ton rear end from a 72 chevy.When I got home and started compareing the two the one I bought looks a little smaller.The code on this one is RHT WO802E will theese two swap?I would really apreciate any info!

RHW decodes as 1972 C-10 - 3:73 gears
