Interior question
My '69 has a light blue exterior (don't know which color name) and the interior has the dark blue "accents" as in the picture below. I would really like to stay as original as possible, but I have had a real hard time finding dash pads and steering wheels in this color. The steering wheel is cracked pretty much all over, and the dashpad has the one crack in it. Would anybody know where I can find these items, or have suggestions?

Re: Interior question
With the price on what they want for steering wheels you could get a repair kit. Fix the cracks & repaint it. They look really good especially if you want to keep a stock look.

Re: Interior question
Have you tried one of the board vendors for those?

Re: Interior question
Dark blue original style steering wheels are now available...about $140.
Original dash pads can be recolored/vinyl spray very easily. Get a good used one and squirt it. Your interior does not look original or special, so new vinyl seat covers or even houndstooth inserts would be a nice upgrade, but still GM truck style. |

Re: Interior question
I believe all of the colors in the interior are original, but I'm not 100% sure. Is there a way to verify that? Also, what about the GMC dark blue horn button? I've seen the steering wheels before (rare find), but I have not seen the horn buttons.

Re: Interior question
Anyone have an answer about the color question above? Also, the hole next to the heater controls; was that a cigarette lighter or something else?

Re: Interior question
the only wat to tell would be by S.P.I.D. label. on the inside of the glovebox door. Or if you had the build sheet. that is usually found under/in the seat.

Re: Interior question
Thanks guys! Now another question. Is it possible the cigarette lighter was an option? My grandpa could have removed it for some reason, but I don't remember ever seeing it in the truck.
