My new K5
Hey everyone! Have been viewing this site and owned a few 67-72's over the years. Finally have something I think is worth sharing. Picked this one up in the fall. After having sat in a garage for 8 years I finally have her road worthy with new ignition parts, fresh gas, a little lipstick, and rouge. Found on craigslist. Ended up paying double the asking price in somewhat of a bidding war but I still think it was a steal. Tilt, tach, air, cst, and protect-o-plate in the glovebox.

Re: My new K5
Welcome from Philly, Pa. Truck is sweet, what are you planning for it? Stock or restofied? Is that an original roll bar?
Any Rust? Looks to be in exceptional condition. Anyway, have fun. J.

Re: My new K5
It does have some rust below the mouldings right behind the doors - fist size holes. Also, the drivers rocker needs replaced. I covered the holes with duct tape (I know) but it keeps the wife from complaining about a rusty old truck. I love that it is unmolested, only original once. I plan is to keep it as original as possible and in a garage in dry Eastern Washington. Use it to pull the boat about a mile back and forth to the lake, topless off of course. Bouncytruck, you may see it around Bothell in the summer. Rust repair and carpet are high on the list to do. Paint may be in it's future. THere was some repaint on the rear quarters but no bondo as I can tell and the hood paint is so thin you can see black primer. I have $2500 in it including the BFG's and rallys you see it carrying in the back.Think I got a good deal?

Re: My new K5

Either I got ripped off or you got the deal of the century! I paid double for mine and it's a POS compared to yours! Nice score

Re: My new K5
Thanks for the compliments.
Is it an original roll bar? I guess so. I've seen that debate on here before about factory vs. dealer installed and don't recall what the consensus was. Roll bar appears to have been there a long time and is/was installed under the carpet.

Re: My new K5
Man, I paid 3000 for mine and it is a bare bones, nothing special, Blazer. Oh and it also barely ran. What a deal.
