Re: where can i get moog front end parts ?

Checker (shucks or kragen depending where you live) carry them.
the website is www.partsamerica.com
Type moog in the search, and it brings up every moog part for the selected vehicle

It's handy if you already have the part numbers.
Shifty posted a FAQ about power steering that had alot of moog part numbers.

Early Classic also sells them for a reasonable price. And they even have rebuild kits that have everything you need for pretty good prices.

Damn, deja vu!!!!!!!

I know carquest is in the midwest...

I shop at checker/Kragen/Schucks because they have a military discount, and that 10% goes a Long way when you add it all up.

I work at Oreilly in TX and any suspension part you need for a C-10 is there or will be the next day.. What parts do you need ?? c10 frontend parts Autodrive is the house brand and MOOG is better ! Just go to the OREILLY website and answer the questions to find your parts. Bo

Re: where can i get moog front end parts ?

I bought tie rods, idler, and pitman last week at O'reillys in Indiana. I did end up taking them back as I am going to get the front end kit from ECE.

The tie rods (4), idler, pitman, and two tie rod links were $268.00.

I talked with the Moog warehouse in Louisville, KY and they sell to distributors only and that is bumper to bumper in the Louisville area.

Hope this helps.

Re: where can i get moog front end parts ?

usually the smaller (more independant) parts stores carry Moog or "Standard" ignition parts etc.

Carquest here in the Northeast is also MOOG - just said Carquest & Moog on the box.

You can mail order them from Summit Racing Equip. Usually 2 days, No Shipping (Just a $10-11 hadling fee) and I think they have the best price on Moog stuff that I've seen anyway.

I work part time at a Carquest...that being said, SOME of our chassis parts are Moog. They are the more expensive, or Blue line. There is also a cheaper Red line (which are not made by Moog but somthing Chinese iirc). I also believe that Carquest gives them a lifetime warranty.

I am sure Napa is the same way, except they have different names for the qualities.

I think he was blowing smoke up your tailpipe. If you go to www.federal-mogul.com they show Moog steering parts for the C-10 in the on-line catalog

Yep - what parts are you looking for? I might have all the part numbers from my '69 C-10 build still.

I Ordered Everything from Summit Racing and what they didn't have in stock..they had Drop Shipped to me directly from FederalMogul

Kind of a pain to navigate the Federal Site....so here is how you get to the Catalog:

#1. Home page: www.federal-mogul.com
#2. @ the top of the page you will see 4 things: "Our Company", "OE Tech & Products", "A/M Solutions", "Investors"
* Click on "A/M Solutions"
#3. Pick North America and English
#4. It will bring you to the next page - you will see "Federal Mogul" @ the top of the page on the Left Side and then 6 links under that. You want the last one - "Catalogs & Training"
#5. You'll see all the Brand Logo's toward's the bottom of the page - right above that there are 2 Blue Links. Click on "Catalogs"
#.6 You'll see 3 links in the same area on the next page that comes up. Click on "Make/Model Look Up"

Re: where can i get moog front end parts ?

From my experience, being a former parts store manager, there are only a couple of manufacturers for parts anyway and they just put them in different boxes. If you get MOOG, you'll probably be paying the extra just for the name. As long as you get a lifetime warranty part you should be fine no matter what brand.

Re: where can i get moog front end parts ?

Yah, way to much. I use the auto drive stuff from oriellys, american made and good quality. About half the cost of moogs stuff. Plus they have a lifetime warranty. All I have used from that line seemed good quality to.

That's kinda high. Get all the correct part numbers and put them in @ www.summitracing.com You should be around or under $500 for all the front end parts. Not sure about the steering box though.
