Group Buying

Hey Everyone,

This trailing arm discussion got me thinking. But does this message board consider group buying? I know a lot of us are in the process of building/updating our rides and probably will need/want similar equipment, with sales people typically run on monthly/quarterly commissions I'll bet we could get better pricing "deals" on occasion. Similar to " if we get 10+ people to commit to buy X, we will get it at this type of price"?

I know I'd like to get a deal on a Painless Wiring set up or a Vintage Air/Old Air unit as both are in my immediate future. I know those are a couple of bigger ticket items but I'd bet we get better pricing if a group of us committed to it. Maybe even put together a Board "wish list" with the number of members considering certain parts, send it out the vendors and ask for a special price for 30days provided we meet a certain minimum number of orders and they don't ship until it's met.

Anyone interested in something like that?

I am doing those type of sales trying to build my business. Unfortunately there is no forum here for vendors to advertise seperately than any other paying member so only your interest keeps our posts at the top in the classified section.

I don't need the painless kit at this time but it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and get it. It can be stored away like the rest of the parts I have.

best price on the painless 18 i've seen is 375.00. I dont really need it but i'd sure feel better about having it and maybe i can stop being so parranoid when i smell the slightest hint of burning, i'm really crazy in the fall when people are burning leaves.

Hey Boise69,
I find myself sniffing the air all the time when I drive one of my trucks. When I tore down my project truck I was floored by the hatchet job under the dash. The only way I can describe it is when you are boiling speghetti, look in the pot and stir it. That is what it looked like under the dash.

i feel it might be a good idea to petition the moderators for a site vendors section and a group buy section. as anoter site i visit, they have the group buy section, which gets alot of action and alot of deals.

If you message an admin they will sticky group buys for you, its done all the time.


Many of the site supporting vendors sponsor group buys. They are stickied at the top of the classified forums as they are offered.

they are stickied at the top of all the classified sections as they are offered. There is no need for an entire forum for it.

you all should check out summit racing for the wiring harness I got mine for $309 this summer... its a painless 18 curcit pn# PRF-10206 with free shipping and I got it in two days. That was back in july but doubt they've gone up much

Copper went up so after the first of the year the prices will go up I assure you. I ordered my EZ wiring kit for $125 shipped it will be $210 shipped after Jan. 1st

after reading some other threads i think i should invest in a new harness too. i had a small meltdown a couple of weeks ago and that was no fun at all. so if we can get a nice deal count me in.
