Good place to get windshield? - rant

So need to find a place that I can buy a windshield and have them install it at my house.

I had scheduled for a company called Safe Lite Auto Glass to do this today but after waiting all day and finally deciding to call I find out the install man told the manager it wasnt a "Normal" job and he somehow missed me even though I was literally outside all day waiting. Really uptsets me that they were to stupid to not assume from the beginning when someone ordered a damn window and install for a 1955 chevy pickup.

I'm obvioulsy no where near you so cannot help with specific, but I will need the windshield in my 59 replaced and I have been looking for a local company. I found one locally by talking to other car guys, checking out "thanks to" boards at car shows, etc. Make sure the company you deal with is getting glass that is the same thickness as original. Most replacement glass is thinner (like new cars) and will not fit right. It sounds like the guy you got is a production shop just interested in doing the newer cars.
