Adjusting the locks - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

After replacing the hinges on my doors now I can't get the doors to lock. Before I could push in a bit and lift while turning the key but that won't work now. Sooo What do I have to adjust and how? I looked in my chiltons and did a search here but no luck. Any ideas? Doors that don't lock are not a good thing!

This is a search that I did on door adjustment.Some of it may help.There is probably additional info that you will have to "sift" thru to get what you need.You might also search door locks.

If there's any tension on the striker the locks won't work or be very stiff. Chris
