hood to cowl seal for a 72 chevy
hey guys me again!!!
i am trying to install the fact. hood to cowl seal on my 72 & a am not sure exactly how it fits?? i know that it screws under the cowl screws, but i am not sure how it lays (fits)??? if you guys could give me any direction or pics that would be great!!! thanks!!!! rodstored-72 |

loosen front of cowl, no need to completely remove ... slide seal under front of cowl ... line up one of the holes on far side, either side will work ... pull to stretch cowl seal to second hole & install screw ... repeat on every hole until all screw holes line up ... stand back and admire new seal.

thanks!! i kinda figured that but i wasn't sure if there was a paticular way it was supposed to lay on the lip infront of the cowl...

What is the purpose of this seal? I'm trying to figure out if I need it, because I'm pretty sure I don't have it right now.

nevermind, i figured it out. keeps water from getting inside the engine bay. guess i'll buy one ...
