I need a measurment PLEASE!!!!!

Well I don't have a bed and I am dying to know if i am centered at dump height for the rear axel. Can someone measure from the cab to the center of the rear fleetside wheel well. I know it is a big thing to ask but i don't have a bed yet and would like to know. I don't think i will have the money to buy the bed for about 1 month or so. Or you could measure front he door to center of the wheel well. Doesn't matter. I REALLY appreciate it! Also about how close to the cab does the bed sit? Thanks alot!

Josh

Re: I need a measurment PLEASE!!!!!

I get about 42" from the front of the bedside to the center of the wheelwell arch. There is an approx. 5/8" gap between the front bed panel and the rear of the cab. The bedside follows the contour of the cab around the side about 1" further forward than the front panel. So, from the flat area of the back of your cab to axle CL should be about 41 3/8".

I would personally wait until you have the bedsides in place to set it permanently though. I just got done setting this on my Blazer and foud that it can be very subjective; i.e. what looked centered to me looked too far forward to my buddy and vice-versa.

Yes on the cab. Maybe on the axle, my measurement is to the center of the top of the wheel arch. CL of your axle may be fore/aft of this depending on your likings. That will get you VERY close though.
