Talking Headed to the track tomorrow!

Wish me luck!

I'm gonna put the truck through the paces and see what happens. This will be the first time to the track (1/8th mile) with this truck, I'm excited. I'm not expecting much, but more to get a good baseline to work from. I've got the timing close to where I want it, the carb is close, but not where I want it to be. This will help, I can play with it and see actual improvements etc... After this, comes higher stall, lower gears + locker etc... I've worked long and hard to get to this point where I can take it to the track and expect respectable times. Granted, the street tires will hurt my times, but hey, it gives me something to work with.

For those of you that are local (DFW) area, a few of us from the Southern Bowties Club will be at Redline Raceway in Royse City. Info can be found at www.redlineraceway.com They are going to have a good night. The Texas Bandit will be there making some full wheelie runs, that is one awesome truck! Plus they are shooting for a new track record.

My dad, a semi-retired gearhead will be filiming and taking digi pics. He grew up in the late '50's and '60's racing, so I take every oportunity to utilize more of his knowledge. Hell, that's where I learned most of what I know.

I'll post results as long as they aren't too embarassing.
