A fair Trade?
Im considering trading my 69 LWB w/ 5lug conversion. For a 68 LWB with 350, auto, ps, pb, ac. The body needs ALOT of work, but the options are what does it for me, along with that. I feel in love with the frontend the second I saw it.
What I would be doing is trading my 1/2 ton, minus motor and custom wheels and tires for his 68 3/4 ton with everything, except a pretty poor body. I'd be giving him $300 ontop of my truck in the trade. Does this sound fair?

Re: A fair Trade?
Not sure I would do it. But I don’t know the condition of your truck. Look at this way, take the amount of money it will take to make the ‘68 it to what you have now, then take the money it would take to switch the front clip to get the look you want. That will give you a good idea to what you should do.

Re: A fair Trade?
I've been thinking about it more and more, and just thinking how much of a pita it would be to swap yet another suspension over to 5lug. I have a built 302 ready to go into my 69. I was just cruising the net looking for some wheels and tires for the 68 possibly, found my choices to be very limited.
He has told me prior that for $400, I could get any of the parts I needed off of this 68. Including motor, trans, x-member, driveshaft, pb assembly, ps pump, box, etc.

Re: A fair Trade?
The thing you look for in any build is the best body you can find............the mechanical stuff is the easy part. Body work and paint is where all the money really adds up

I agree with quicksilver, The body is where it is all at.......
Don't trade, use the $300 bucks and get your power steering and power brakes.
