Re: Wheels

yep, or uni-5 lug wheels, stock wheels are either 15x7 or if you are lucky enough they can be 15x8, need a pic to tell though

Re: Wheels

My experience has been that trucks came with 15x8's and van came with 15x7's. Your experience may vary though?

If you look at the rim it should have the size stamped on it somewhere. I think on the rally's it is stamped on the back side but it might also be close to the valve stem hole.
Either way, its difficult to see if the rim is dirty.

Re: Wheels

I think most of the 80's trucks were 7"ers.

Re: Wheels

Well, somebody correct me if I'm wrong but the 15x7 wheels have the 2 inch deep "beauty ring" as opposed to the 15x8 wheels which have the 3 inch ring instead.

An easy way to tell without measuring the ring to figure out which one it is, is like this: The 2" doesn't go completley around the valve stem in essence its only a "U" around the stem. The 3" does go completley around the valve stem, kind of makes an oval around it.

yes, you can even fit 22's , it is all about the offset, and the tire size, there is no real answer to the biggest wheel you can fit, what are you looking to do and we can lead you to what you need

If you go with larger wheels, you may end up reconsidering a suspension drop. If so, you, may want to size your wheels to tuck, say like ~5" bs on a 10" wheel in the rear and a ~5" - ~5.25" bs for a 8" wheel in the front. What type of stance are you after? (Stock stance with 20s or 22s?)

You may be incorrect. I just purchased a set of rally wheels with the skinny trim rings from a junkyard...I am pretty sure they are 8" wheels. I can't check however as they are in the back of my 'Burb in storage. I'll let you know in the spring.

Re: Wheels

I'm not bashing the big wheel thing, but I wouldn't go 20's or bigger unless you do something with the suspension. Chip Foose said it best: You can't put a set of 20" inch wheels on just anything. You have to build the car around the wheels. I don't think 20's with stock suspension would look good at all. A set of 17's would look better if you want bigger wheels.

Just my .02

Re: Wheels

I've decided to buy Eagle Alloy 028 series... Now my question is... What size? I want to keep it 15" for now... so i was told i should try 15x8 up front and 15x10 in the rear, will this fit without any modifications?? is that too wide? and is that a good option??? give me some suggestions on which size

you have got ps (power steering), i would probably go all 15x10's or 15x8's with that style wheel

Re: Wheels

What size tires are you running? 8's all around or 8's and 10's would look best IMO.

Re: Wheels

Yea, I had those wheels on my truck for a couple of months, but as soon as I bought new tires, I put my rally's back on. Rallys are great if you ask me, a nice Blingy beauty ring and a new center caps and they stand out as well as a set of aluminum wheels. Do you have any pictures of your truck as it sits? Anyway, Rallys are cheap, plentiful and WILL FIT, no questions.
