Question Trailer hitch Question

Has anyone here used a Hidden Hitch on your truck and if so, do you know what part number it is/was?? The people at Hidden are telling me they don't make one for my '68 Shortstep, but I know people are putting them on--so what are they using?

if you have access to a welder and torch than you can make one for a LOT cheaper. i got a nice one off a 89 gmc van from the local junkyard for 30 bucks. we narrowed it, and raised the mounts a little, even used the same holes, it was crazy, now it is centered behind the license plate hole, and the license plate is bolted to a 2 inch square tubing, so it slides in and you woulnd ever know i have a hitch. i can get pics if you want. good luck, Ben

I did the same thing, but bought a bare reciever from northern tool, and made the rest.

Also have a bracket for license to slide into, centered behind plate.

Works GREAT!

Everybody wonders about plate when I tow, who can see it anyways.??
