HEI Vacume Advance?

Ok folks, found out that my distributor was 180 degrees off. I fixed that and got the timing perfect. However I wasn't sure what the vacume advance timing should be at. I'm reading it at 40 degrees is that right? Where should it be?

Re: HEI Vacume Advance?

Sounds about right. With the vac line pulled off you should be at about 8* at idle and the vac should give about 32* total advance.
