Any pics of lowered 3/4 tons

I want to see some slammed camper specials and gmc 2500s.. anybody done this or have a link? Im trying to see what my gmc 2500 would look like..Thanks

Why you would want to lower a 3/4 ton is beyond me. Leave the fluff stuff for the 1/2 tons. 3/4 and 1 tons are the working mans truck.

There's plenty of unwanted 3/4 tons out there, I say grab one, and do what ever you want with it. I for one, would give my left lug nuts to get air ride on my one ton... best of both worlds, good ride, awsome hauling capacity and adjustable ride height. I've been pricing fabbing up a kit myself with semi parts and I think I might be able to do it myself cheaper and even better than a kit.

A lowered 3/4 ton looks just like any other long bed 67 to 72. They all lower the same. Today we are taking our ever faithfull 3/4 ton camper special and lowering it. We are also shortnng the frame and installing a short narrow box on it. As I am writing this responce we are finishing up the rear frame notch. Maybe, Sunday the frame shortning will be finished. I do have some pictures that are still in the camera. I have never put any pictures on here yet. Keep looking

It is going to be a work truck. I would like to bag it so I can drive it at stock height and then dump it to unload the material at work (heavy windows and metal)

I've already got the truck I just want to get an idea of what it will look like.

This truck is going to do nothing but work.. Its going to be functionable for what I do.

I see your point, put on the other hand I'm not gonna use my truck for a "work" truck (never did) nor am I ever going to haul a Large camper (used to) so I'm considering lowering my '72 GMC Sierra 2500. It will still have better towing capability than a half ton (Dana 60, 4.10 gear ratio, bigger brakes) and could still haul some weight safely if need be due to the full floating rear axle. Jury is still out, I have not made up my mind yet - - but there's a local guy in my area that lowered a '72 Cheyenne 3/4 ton, and it looks really cool. Partly because everyone lowers 1/2 tons so it's more unique. Just depends on what you plan to use it for. My truck will never be used for work - - It may occasionally tow my boat or make a trip to Home Depot but not very often.

I have already put the bags on my 3/4 ton frame with 3 inch drop spindles up front from GMC pauls All I have to do now is put the body and bed back on and I could show you what it looks like.(that will happen in the next few weeks) I have a shot of the frame and engine with all the air out.

well, i am still in the 'what if I could afford to buy this and this and this" stage. I honstly don't know if or when i'll do it. I need to look at how leaf spring rear ends are done I guess.

Ive never seen much use for the 1/2 tons, bit im in the construction industry.

Ill enjoy my C20 bagged or not......its all the same as far as looks go when its all said and done. So we have 8 lugs instead of 6.

I too would like to see some lowered 3/4 tons. Just not sure what i want to do with my 71 C-20 either lowered or convert it to 4x4. It won't be worked or even used to haul anyting i have a couple Dodge Diesels for that. Whats aviable from the aftermarket for the 3/4tons drop spring and spindle wise? My truck has rear leaf springs.

I have a few answers for that Kenworth, Peterbuilt and any other semi you can think of those are prime examples of work trucks and air bags not meant as a flame.

Air bags are IDEAL for a work truck.
Besides, all those late 90's daullies that are slammed... most of them have air ride.
Air bags were taken from the work trucks, and modified for the show circuit.

Depending what you do for WORK, i have been seeing nearly new trucks with cracked frames right above the bag because all the weight is in one place on the frame. These are work trucks that work hard, i think bags are awesome but a work truck in my opinion is best left with leaf springs. Comparing air bags in a semi to air bags in 3/4 ton is like comparing an n-14 cummins to a 5.9l cummins.

Heres some more pics of the color. I didnt take many pics cause it was my first paintjob and I'm disapointed in the way it turned out. Its straight but has a lot of orange peel and some areas are blotchy. Once spring comes around and the weather gets better I'm going to sand it down and reshoot.
