Throttle linkage on a '69 C-20, 292 I6
Can anybody show me a picture of the throttle linkage on a 67-72 with a 6 cylinder? The previous owner had problems with his feet and modified the linkage so he wouldn't have to move the pedal as far. Now I have no idea what parts are missing or have been modified. Anybody have a picture?

Re: Throttle linkage on a '69 C-20, 292 I6
Stock [68] 292s with the rod-type throttle linkage had a long rod from the accelerator rod at the firewall to a bellcrank that pivoted thru a 1/4" 'tunnel' across the exhaust manifold behind the carb mounting. A smaller rod went from the top [?] of the bellcrank to the throttle linkage on the carb.
When I went to a 4bbl carb and Offy manifold, I had to fabricate all-over again... After 20 years or so, I found it better to convert to cable. But it was not an easy bolt-on swap. I don't have the stock linkage anymore.

There's a picture of the bracket in the chevy shop manual. Unobtanium.
