Progress pics...sorry so late.
Finally got the front back together, aside from tightening down the front sway bar (had to go watch the saints lose)...
anyway, just wanted to share. I really like the job on the powdercoat, the old hardware I used kind of takes away from it, was not sure if I was going to get them done or not, but I did...You can see in the one pic, what I was talking about with the brake line being "tight". I'll do like the others posted, and just bend it a little bit. just waiting on my wheels to get it off the jackstands, then install the rear flip kit. |

Re: Progress pics...sorry so late.
I had alot of problems with my brakes too, I ended up finding out after I had everything powdercoated and smoothed that they were not for this truck! I do like that powdercoating job though, nice accent!

Re: Progress pics...sorry so late.
Looking good, pcmcobra.
Makes you want to throw some paint on some of the other components... then on the frame... then on ... where would it stop? The wheels should top it all off.

Re: Progress pics...sorry so late.
boxrodz you make a great point. If it were me i would go crazy trying to paint every thing to look as good as the new components.

Re: Progress pics...sorry so late.
Hey guys...I have sand blasted some parts before and then use the "hammer paint" in a can (krylon I think) with great results. It holds up super and very hard.

Re: Progress pics...sorry so late.
boxrodz,
you are so right.... If I had a garage big enough I would. I am using my inlaws shop, it's pretty big. Just don't want to wear out my welcome...So I'm trying to get the drop done.taking me awhile by myself, after work...I got the front done and the wheels finally on, gonna get the back started, hopefully get it aligned Saturday, it's way off...I don't know much about alignments, but I do know it's off. Got any tips? I have never aligned anything before. My garage is used as storage for my kids bikes, wagons, scooters, barbie jeeps and such. Can barely fit my truck in it. I did make some more room a few weeks ago. |
