Re: dome light switch ?

the 67 and 68 trucks didn't have that raised pad for the switch, so you can't easily install it up there. Plenty of 67/68 owners have installed it as you describe, however, they normally go for the one higher up, up over the latch. Less junk and water and garbage ends up in the higher position.

Re: dome light switch ?

Hmmm I thought these were the standard push button switch's. But that cant work on the latch side of the door, so you guys must be talkin about some different switch......my bad.

Re: dome light switch ?

I am just throwing my 2 cents in on this one. I have a '68 chevy, and I took out one of the rubber bumpers that are used to cushion the doors. The holes are about the perfect size to mount these up.

If you haven't already bought a kit for everything, I would suggest checking out this link. http://www.alanhorvath.com/54chevy/domelight_relay.php

it is very simple and easy to follow, and it works too!! I just got mine installed and I have also added a a lite under the dash on both sizes, just to shed some light on the floorboards.
