12 days to go...
12 days till my deadline.I have the body of the truck waiting for it to go on.Im waiting on a shim kit for the rear axle so it can go back together.I might make the dead line.It will be close...To bad the motor isnt going in this deadline. For those that are lost....Im trying to get the body on the chassis of my swb 4x4 and get it rolling on some 33's so I can see what my work the past few months show all by my birthday. The original plans were to have it running but that isnt happening unless I was given a motor to put in it that is ready to go
I am taking donations btw Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 02-05-2007 at 11:51 PM. |

Re: 12 days to go...
Good luck - I have long since given up on setting deadlines for myself - have such trouble meeting them!

Re: 12 days to go...
Ok,pics are in.........First pic is what I started with.A old worn, beaten junkyarded 71 swb chevy 4x4 with everything gone but the frame, axles, cab, and bed.Second is of the motor, far from done,or even apartThird is the chassis sitting in the shop now.4th and 5th is of the chassis before I took the axles apart to rebuild. Its sitting a little low in the front, but its on a slope so yeah.....Im still along ways from done but farther than I was last July when I bought it.Its in alot better shape than when I bought it also.I have about 2k in the truck. That covers about everything except paint, interior, the motor, and tires.

Re: 12 days to go...
Plans are a/c(I have the cab for it).Tilt, tach, buddy buckets,a darker blue paint job, a green/white two tone,or hugger orange and white.Im undecided. It has a th350 for it,that was just rebuilt, and a np205 transfer case.It has a 4" lift now and 16x10 Eagle Alloy Aluminum rims(not pictured). It will have 35" BFG Mud terrains on it when its spring time.Motor,a mild 350 or possibly a 383 stroker.

Re: 12 days to go...
I used to try and set goals to get stuff done. And you know what? I've given up on goals, forever.
