Hey does anyone know how to decode this vin on my engine -> C4Z155756 then in bigger letters a couple of spaces beside it says VO327TMM <- I cannot find any good websites on the internet and im trying to figure out if my truck is #'s matching!

yeah i tried mortec but i couldnt find the right codei went on some other sites and nothing was coming up as a valid engine its a 350 and if its #'s matching a 1969 C-10

I Can Tell You This: The Vo327tmm Is Flint, Michigan March 27th, 1974 350 Conv. Cab., 145 Hp With A 2 Bolt Main For A C-10 Or 1500, Or It's March 27th, 1980, 350 Conv. Cab With A Manual Lt9, 170 Hp With A 4 Bolt Main For A C-20-3500. So No, It Doesn't Match Your Truck. As For The Other Set Of Numbers, Where Did They Come From? Both The 1974 And The 1980 Have The "tmm" So You Will Have To Know If It Is A Two Or Four Bolt Main To Determine The Exact Year. But, It's Definatly After 1969. Hope This Helps, Good Luck!

Hi, I can tell you that the V0327TMM stands for the following:

V = Flint (Engine plant)
03 = March
27 = 27th day of March
TMM = One of the following

TMM 1974 350 conv.cab 145 2 C-10 & 1500
TMM 1980 350 conv. cab, a/t, Cal M LT9 170 4 C-20 to 3500

Okay, Figured Out The Other Part. That Is A V I N Code Beside Your Suffix#. It Is A 1974 For Sure. The "z" In The Number Is Throwing Me Off. It May Very Well Be A Crate Engine. But It Is A 1974, 145 Hp, 2 Bolt Main, That They Put On The C-10 In 1974

thanks but that kinda sucks that its a '74 with 145hp i was hoping more for the '80 but guess there had to be a catch for the truck being this cleanI was hoping for the #'s matching cause the trucks was used ONLY on a farm so the truck wasnt used much but whatever its still my project truck for me to finish in the next 3 years for when im 16
