engine specs
i did a search but didnt find what i wanted and that is the stock engine specs for a 72 350sbc 4bbl, such as horse power at rpm and torque at rpm
and i looked at the mortec site and didnt find my block number which is: 8970014 head number is: 8978487X so im looking for any and all specs that anybody has to offer with the block and head numbers and any ratings and also the cam specs and anything else anybody can think of also whats the cfm rating on the stock quadrajet basicaly im looking for any and all specs i can get ahold of THANKS IN ADVANCE

so what i think is an 8 for the first number is a 3 on the block number???
and for what its worth heres the number on the side of the carb: 7042206 QA 0282

You should definitely send for the GM restoration package mentioned in another thread here recently.It has all the juicy data for your year truck.
I can tell you though,all the 350s had the same cam up to '86 that had .398 lift on int. and I think .410 exhaust (although my GM service manual has both listed as .398). Added: Duration was 195/202 @.050 I believe.112 deg.C.L.

Stock specs on a 350 4bbl is 175 HP
Max tourque is 292 ft/lb

If you can get the # off the front pad it will tell you what it is. well we can look it up for you. Most 350s that come in a truck are 175 horse power@4000 rpm and 280 torque@2400rpm. Thats net horse power before thay went to SAE standards in 72 it would be 250 horse power for a 350 4 barrel

the number infront of the head is V048TFD
and yea i remember the thread about the restoration packet and ill make sure i call them for it, i completely forgot about that THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS

V048TFD The letters at the end of your # on the front pad, That tells what it went in and horse power
