250 power steering progress.
I am moving at a slower pace then I want. So far I have Installed an internal regulated alternator, and the power steering brackets, and pump. I am running into a pulley allingmet problem. My pump is a duble pulley type as is my water pump pulley and alternator. I can not get the p/s pulley to line up .
If I use the inner grove on it it is off by about 1/4-1/2 " on the outer one it is almost off 3/4". I guess I have to try another Pulley , I have 3 and all are the same, maybe a singel one will do it, Last edited by slepysal; 02-15-2007 at 11:20 AM. |

Re: 250 power steering progress.
Sal,
What does your pump look like? I tried a rounded neck one, and found one with a flat side fit differently. I still have an old flat one. I ended up using the rounded one and twisted the brackets slightly. Doesn't line up like I would want it to, but it works. I'm finding it doesn't have to be perfect, but I'm sure it easier on pumps and belts if it is. |

Re: 250 power steering progress.
Hey good buddy. Well I have both. Seems like we have the same problem. I guess close enough is good enough. So How is yours working out?
