I am getting ready to reinstall my bed and was wondering what you all are using, if anything, as a cushion between the bed and the frame? I was thinking maybe sections of a rubber intertube? Was anything installed factory?

We use conveyor belting cut into squares to go between the bed and frame. It is very tough and holds up well.

I have never seen a truck that came with any cushion between the bed and frame.

i used rubber pieces that i cut from a roll of rubber used on the bottom of garage doors/home depot

I picked up few rubber squares usually sold in small hardware stores - in the plumbing section... sliced to size, punched holes for the bolts.
