Six lug disc brake rotor swap

I searched the archives and found that there was a guy that used 91 chevy 3/4 ton rotors to convert his front drums to disks using 71-72 calipers and spindles. Has anyone else done this swap? (These rotors are cheaper than 5 lug 72 rotors by the way.)

Has anyone else done this?

What are you thoughts on the topic before I drop a wad of cash on parts.

I would like to keep the 6 lug, because I have a set of nice aluminum 6 lug wheels I want to use, and so I won't have to change the rear axles.

I'll be doing this on my scrap yard 69.

Re: Six lug disc brake rotor swap

I just purchased all the parts to do this and will try to take photos and do a little write up on what I have found and what i used. By the way if you need a set of stock spindles for the 1.25" rotors let me know i will be useing a 2" drop spindle on my swap and got them with the rest of the brake stuff.

Re: Six lug disc brake rotor swap

I'm going to go ahead and do it.

I love a good project.

Will do a complete journal of the process.
