Demon Carburetor For sale
Okay, I'm done trying to become a carburetor expert, I'm a computer guy & have never worked on carb's before, I've had this Demon on my truck for a few months now & I haven't been able to get it dialed in/running the way I'd like, when it's warm it runs great! the truck is very fast with this Demon, but I thin it has a problem with the choke or something, sometimes it doesn't want to run on it's own when it's cold, (runs fine when it's warm) & a couple times it's decided to close the choke butterflies when it's warm. It's a Road Demon 625cfm Vacuum secondaries & electric choke, these are basically an improved version of the Holly 4150, these are built very tuff, with Billit metering blocks & baseplate. I'm including the dual inlet Braided fuel line that I paid $80 for at Baxter auto parts. I also have a 1" phenolic spacer that I will include in the deal, all this for $200.00 plus whatever the shipping costs might be, I think the carb itself weighs 18lbs.
The picture show's the demon on my motor & the dual Braided Fuel line, "not the silver braided line that goes to the fuel pump." |

Re: Demon Carburetor For sale
This is in the wrong area so I will see that its moved to the parts area to save you the trouble of starting a new thread in the correct area

Re: Demon Carburetor For sale
71chevylowrider- just to let you know , BG Fuel recommends pumping the gas pedal like you normally would do, but when it starts DO NOT TOUCH the gas peddle for about 10-15 seconds!. If you do the choke will not seem to really work right until it's warmed up. That might be the (minor) problem. Once I got that info for mine it works great now and I love my Demon!. I'm sure 409biscayne will be happy with it! Just thought I would pass that on to you guys!

I want it, but try what 70C10 said first, it will probably fix your problem.

"SOLD" Demon Carburetor For sale
Hey 70c, I always appreciate your great advice, & I have tried all that, it just wouldn't run on it's own when it was cold no matter what kind of throttle dance i did, & if I turned the choke up high enough to run good when it's cold, then it would stay on too long, I really think it needs a new choke assy, I've seen em on Ebay for $35-$50, cause other times the choke butterflies would close when the truck was plenty warm & then act like it was flooded until I played with the throttle & chike linkage until it would stay open, other then that it's a pretty bada$$ carb, I've already thrown the ol reliable 1406 back on, so I'm done being a carb diagnostic Technician. I just want to jump in my truck & drive it like I stole it without having to dink around with the carb.
